I just realized that I may have misunderstood what you meant by "update SLD content." I just stumbled upon a discussion about a similar situation where an SAP-delivered SWCV did not exist in the SLD. The "correct" answer referred to OSS note 669669. I have my Basis friends looking in to this now.

1. determine how a manager is 'created' it can be done in 2 ways chief position holder, ... against an org unit or,.. you do the explicit reports-in-line to relationship between positions.
2. bot of the above are std sap ways,.. so once you do that, try using eval paths to determine the manager of a person.
3. there are a number of ways to do manager determination,.. should you provide more info on why you need to determine the manager,.. in what kind of context & process,.. it will be possible to point you in the right direction...

We have a wage type for which taxation method should be changed to Supplemental from Regular. We have changed PCL 68 and 76 to spec 2. Now when we run regular payroll, the /401 seems to be correct however when we run the same wage type during OFFCYCLE, the payroll drivers calculates regular taxation instead of supplemental taxation method.
Are we missing anything else? May be UPAR1 --CUR--??? etc

In the SA you don't have the rounding profile field. It uses the data from the material master.
So having a different rounding per SA is at least to my knowledge not possible using SA's.
James using the SA together with a quota arrangement you can have the rounding profile kicking in per material vendor combination.
In the quota arrangement you can enter the rounding profile
If you only have a single source you just enter 100 as the quota
I dont think that is possibe.

We are facing a similar upgrade scenario with SAP ECC5 and Oracle DB version: 9.2.0.6
Did you manage to do the upgrade correctly? Was the strategy correct?
Our problem is if it is possible to upgrade the Oracle database version to 11g from the export in version 9.2.0.6 after the UC conversion tasks and import it later in an Oracle 11g (newly installed from scratch) and after that do the post unicode conversion activities.

Sorry to reply with nothing to resolve the question, but wanted to join in to say this is very concerning as we are just now initiating a gap-fit analysis of being able to deliver ESS/MSS without the Portal. As we are using class workflows with the UWL, this seems like it will be an issue for us as well!!
We are engaging a consultant in the next ~month to assist with this, so hopefully I will be able to contribute something!

a) My question was, in BEx, we used to create a predefined Row and Col structure especially for FI reports with some restrictions on some attribute liek G/L account and so on.
How can we replicate the same in HANA studio?
b) How can we emulate teh behavior of cell restrictions as we used to do in BEx Query Designer ?

The listener port from the redwood network agent (rwna) and the rfc agent
(rsd) are both set to 20800 which is not correct !
The portnumber from rfc agent must be to a different port, ie

Hi all,
We are planning to install SSM 10.0 on windows 2008 r2 server.
As per basic requirement of SSM, it needs to be install netweaver and solman.
We plan to setup distributed system as application server on windows platform and database server (oracle 11g) on Solaris system.
I want to know that is this possible to install solman and netweaver application on windows and database on Solaris.
If it is possible then what are the prerequisite should follow to setup both things ?
Also please provide the SSM installation and configuration doc

Are you changing the SAP userid? That is not a good idea. You can't do that every time somebody changes position. It's unnecessary.
But anyway, as stated above, you can forward the workitems.
